Appointments

How to Request an Appointment

Please consider self help or speaking with a pharmacist first.

You can make a routine appointment in the following ways:

If you would prefer to see a specific doctor or nurse, please make the receptionist aware of your preference.

Whilst we will do our best to accommodate you, it may not always be possible to comply, due to staff leave, illness, or other time constraints.

Urgent Appointments

Call 020 3474 6999 to speak with a trained receptionist who will triage your call to the most appropriate service. They may speak with a GP who will give advice or contact back via txt/ email or call.

The doctor will assess whether you need an urgent appointment.

Telephone Consultations

Telephone consultations are available each day to speak to either a doctor or a nurse.

These consultations are useful for:

  • Follow-up/results.
  • Anything that we may be able to resolve/address without actually seeing you in person.

Nurse Appointments

All appointments can be booked in advance; we suggest you book 1-2 weeks before you require the appointment.

Phlebotomist Appointments

We have an in house phlebotomist, who mainly serves our elderly or infirm patients.

In cases where we are unable to provide this service due to long waiting times, alternative services are conducted at Gracefield Gardens Health and Social Care Centre, 2-8 Gracefield Gardens, London SW16 2ST.

All blood tests must have been authorised by a doctor or nurse, who will provide you with a blood test form.

Enhanced Access Appointments

We offer appointments at our surgery after 18.30 on Monday – Thursdays. We can also offer appointments in various hub clinics across Lambeth, provided by our GP Federation, Lambeth Practices.

As part of the PCN DES service, we are required to provide Enhanced Access to patients registered with practices in the PCN.

Enhanced Access is patient appointments outside core practice hours – that is between 18:30-20:00 on weekdays, and on Saturdays 09:00 till 17:00.

Interpreters

If you require an interpreting service for your consultations with the doctor or nurse, we will gladly arrange this for you.

Please tell us when you book an appointment.

Late Policy

The practice has agreed that if you are more than 10 minutes late we cannot see you and you will have to rebook.

This policy is intended to help doctors and nurses keep to time and reduce waiting times for all patients.

Cancelling an Appointment

If you are unable to attend your appointment, please let us know as soon as possible; this way the doctor can see another patient in need.

To cancel, you can:

  • Cancel via NHS App
  • If you receive a text reminder, please send back a text CANCEL
  • Telephone the surgery on 020 3474 6999

Failing To Attend An Appointment
